Excuse me, where is mine?

The trend among new parents is the push present.

At first, I was like "what?" I mean clearly, wikipedia even has its definition. What planet have I been living on?

This was not a big trend when either of my children were born. If it was, I just wasn't reading the right books/websites/etc. I have actually heard more about it in the past 6 months than I ever have.

I have decided that it is time for my two push presents. Being that one is 44 months late, Ryan better get on top of it.

I will let him slide with present number two for now. I will give him a little time to get his thoughts together on the second gift. As for gift numero uno, I have made a little list to choose from. Actually there is only one thing to choose from. So, his options are limited.

FYI: As part of the punishment for being late, you may ONLY choose from THIS list. Do not try to surprise me by picking out something that is not on the list. If you do, it will entail another penalty for present number two.

The gift I am about to request may come as a shock to all of you. Being that most of you know that I am extremely anti-mini-van you all may not understand.

Anyway, I want this...

A Volvo V70.

Yes I want a station wagon.

I think they are pimp and I love them.

Be jealous.

You just wish you were cool enough to drive a station wagon.

I'm also thinking of putting a license plate on the front that says, "P.I.M.P."

PS- You're welcome, Ryan. I was happy to carry your two children for 35.5 weeks {that's an average. Caroline= 39 weeks. Emma=32 weeks} I also had a super fun time pushing your two children out. The best 52 minutes and 8 pounds and 3 ounces of my life. Now buy me a station wagon.

PPS- This is a joke. I wish we had enough money for a push present let alone a car. Maybe one day. A girl can dream right.

PPPS- If any of you get a station wagon and place P.I.M.P. on the front of it, I am going to be pissed. Let me see you on the road. My jeep and I will take you DOWN!

This is hilarious. I had never hard of a "push present" till about 5 mins ago when I clicked the wikipedia link. My parents wanted to make sure they got lots of grandbaby pics; so a week prior to my daughters birth I was given a new camera (from them), b/c my old cam was about to kirplunk. But as for "push present" i got zilch from my honey! Its been about 24 mons he should get on that! Haha. I am sure he is going to love you for slipping this idea into my head (if we could afford that)

have a good one!

You can have your Station Wagon. I'll take a Mini-Van. Yes. You heard correctly. I want a Mini-Van. I want the new Siennas. In three years, I told B he can have my Yukon if I get a van. I want something I said I'd never get. For the record, I didn't get any push presents either.

I have to say, I'm dubious about the station wagon, but my next vehicle WILL be the XC90. I love them.

And for the record I think push presents are a FABULOUS idea. When my time comes I think I'm going to request mine in the form of diamonds. ;-)

That does look like a pretty sweet ride.

BTW, there was mention of a push present (by an interesting acquaintance) and I was okay with passing on that idea.

I'm sure Ryan is taking notes.
